ENGLISH CITY WEDDING | Chester, England
I bet English city weddings make every photographer excited. Zanet and Daniel got married in Chester, English city founded as a Roman fortress in the 1st century A.D. And you can certainly feel the Roman vibe in every brick and wall of the city. It’s beautiful backdrop accompanied their wedding and I loved every minute of it.
The ceremony took place in St. Werburgh’s Church and honestly I have never encountered more humorous priest than Fr. Paul Shaw. He was absolutely fantastic as his jokes made everybody put on a wide smile. As well as Daniel’s best man who started off the reception with a speech composed of anecdotes, he was pulling from this very long list of stories he and Daniel experienced together over the many years they had known each other.
Apart from everything else Chester offers one more stunning place to wander around - the ruins of St. John's Church. To someone like me, crazy in love with time-worn buildings and things, this place was heaven. Bare bricks, old doors, stones, all being slowly swallowed by trees and plants. You simply must marvel at this.
I had known Zanet for many years before she found her soulmate Daniel. They are simply perfect together. And I was incredibly happy and honoured to photograph their intimate wedding, which was among the first weddings I have shot in my career. However, I still feel so strong about the photos that I simply have to show you. I will always cherish the memory of their wedding day… as much as I cherish the bond of friendship we still share with Zanet & Daniel.
